CSV File Format for Route Planning

Learn how to efficiently import your delivery data into Droppath Route Planner using CSV (comma separated value) files. Below is a comprehensive list of all supported columns to optimize your data imports:
- address*: a full address, usually between quotes since they often contains commas
- address_number: the door number of the destination
- address_street: the complete street name including type, for example: Maple Street
- address_unit: the apartment or suite number
- address_line1: combination of door number, street name and unit number
- address_line2: secondary address line, often used for unit numbers in some locations
- address_city: the city or locality name where the address is located
- address_state: the state, province or region (2nd level administrative division)
- address_country: the country name or ISO code
- address_postalcode: the destination’s postal code or zip code
- latitude: the precise latitude of the location in decimal format
- longitude: the precise longitude of the location in decimal format
- notes: additional information to include in the destination card
- contact_name: the full name of the person to meet at the destination
- contact_phone: the contact phone number at the destination
- company: the business or organization name at the destination
- tracking_id: the unique package tracking number
- quantity: total number of packages to deliver at this address
* The address field is required if no other address columns are provided. Alternatively, you can use a combination of address_line1, address_city and address_state.
To create your import CSV file, consult the documentation of your preferred spreadsheet software (Google Sheets, Numbers, Microsoft Excel, etc.). CSV imports will help you quickly optimize your delivery routes in Droppath.
